Weekly News & Goals
First off, Adam Slade's debut novella releases *today*! Congratulations Adam! Get your copy of A Reaper's Tale for $3.99 from Lyrical Press - I'm getting a copy for myself before the day's over...
Thanks again to Kristen Callendar for her sweet Everyday Romance post last week. This week, we get an engagement story from Dolly Garland, so be sure to stop by Wednesday for that. In tomorrow's Construction Zone, I'll be discussing my experiment with editing while writing in a little more depth. And of course Friday will be chapter 20 of Indelibly Inked .
This Week on The Variety Pages
Tuesday: Construction Zone - Slow Drafting
Wednesday: Everyday Romance - Dolly Garland
Friday: Indelibly Inked, Ch. 20
Saturday: Notable Posts
Goal Reports
Writing goals - I had kind of a discombobulated week last week, and a hard time getting back into the whole writing thing. I'm out of the habit of writing new words regularly, so the discipline just wasn't there anymore. But the past few nights have been going much better, so this week I should be back in the groove. So far, I'm happy with the new start.
Personal goals - I didn't have to vacuum, 'cause hubby did it for me. Very cool (and he likes to vacuum anyways). He cleaned the bathroom too, and I did get most of the rest of my personal goals met. Workouts definitely help when I'm writing at night...better overall focus & brainpower. I really need to workout every writing day not just for physical health, but for writing stamina too.
Weekly Goals
Writing
- 1/2 hr. editing, 1 hr. drafting on HPC 6 nights/week
- 1/2 hr. editing on Tempest 5 days/week
- Ch. 20 of Indelibly Inked
Personal
- Prep garden soil & start planting stuff out next weekend.
- Take "house trees" out to the back patio for the summer.
- Order silver metallic door curtains for Halloween prep.
- Leave "work" at work...rather than letting things get to me.
- Consider contest ideas for the newsletter
That's what's up with me this week - what are you up to? Read any good books lately?

Why yes, I have read a good book lately. Last night, as a matter of fact. It's called The Reaper's Tale, by Adam Slade. Perhaps you've heard of it? LOL
I was fortunate enough to win a copy. I was really impressed with how good it was, and not just because Adam is an electronic friend.

Oops! I forgot to mention I won another book on the weekend as well. This one was Regan Taylor's The Thrill is Gone, and I believe it was a link through your site that led me to her contest. So thank you! I'm reading this one next.
