Release Day: Tempest!

I’d like to announce that Tempest is officially available for purchase today! Read the first review here .

I’d like to thank Heidi Sutherlin , who did my absolutely gorgeous covers, and Carol R. Ward for editing my final draft and taking out all my extraneous commas. You two are awesome, and deserve a round of applause!

Thanks also to all of my serial readers – this one’s for you. Knowing you’re out there reading, waiting for the next chapter of whatever I happen to be drafting keeps me motivated and energized to write more and improve my craft.

I have a couple of contest winners to announce. Congratulations to Jodi Langston and Mari Juniper, winners of the mini-card contests! Each of you wins a copy of Tempest in whichever format you prefer, and a $20 gift certificate to Amazon.com! I’ll be in touch via email soon...

Now, how to get your own copy of Tempest? Read on:

Ebooks are $1.99, trade paperbacks are $6.99 and include a free download of the ebook when you email me a copy of the receipt (remove all account numbers).

You can purchase ebooks at Amazon , Smashwords and Scribd . Eventually it will be available at Barnes & Noble, Sony, Apple and a few other places, as soon as distribution catches up, but that could take several weeks. You don’t need a Kindle to view the Amazon download – there are several applications you can download to view Kindle documents, but Smashwords supplies just about any format you could possibly want. The Scribd version can either be read online at Scribd, or downloaded as a .pdf file.

The paperback is delayed just a few more days – it’s my fault, I had chapters 6 & 7 transposed in the proof copy I got this weekend. I’ll have a new proof on Wednesday though, and assuming everything is fixed, it will be available shortly after that for direct ordering at my E-Store at CreateSpace, and about 3-5 days later on Amazon. I’m also taking pre-orders on my web site for signed and unsigned copies now – paid via Paypal (you don’t need an account). My initial order of 50 books is just waiting for this next proof to be approved, and then it will be on it’s way. I expect to have books to ship out within a week and a half or so for those who order through my web site.

I hope you all enjoy the story as much as I enjoyed writing it. I’m hard at work on Desert Heat, which will be released sometime in January 2011.

I’ll leave you with a little something I put together yesterday – a virtual reading with an excerpt from Tempest. A videographer I am not, but for those of you who like readings, I hope this digital one will suffice.
